THE VOLGAN WAR

When I was a kid one of my favourite stories in 2000AD was Hammerstein's War Memoirs in Ro-Busters when an old military robot reminisced about his military service against the Volgans. Over the years, these tales have been expanded through the A.B.C. Warriors stories as well as the Invasion saga.

Reading the latest A.B.C. Warriors volumes specifically about the Volgan War, the bug bit and I decided I wanted to try and recreate some of these battles on the tabletop.

So this blog is specifically about the project, as well as bits of background which hopefully will lead the uninitiated to seek out the stories and enjoy the war-stories of Hammerstein as much as I do...
